Oleta River State Park

Explore the trails in the lap of nature, cool off in the gentle waves of the shallow calm water, and paddle a canoe through the mangroves into lush lagoons… then around the bend and into Biscayne Bay surround by modern high rises and luxurious yachts.  The Oleta River State Park is a great place for a family to spend the day.  If you have young children, the water is shallow, calm and crystal clear with white sand beaches.  The trails are wonderful and the water sports are abundant.  Pack a picnic, pack your sunscreen then enjoy the great outdoors.  For a the true “wilderness” adventure, rent a cabin and spend the night.

    Beautiful place for kids… the beaches are often completely empty making it the ideal spot for a quiet family picnic and swim without the noise, litter and chaos of regular public beach spots.
